Holiday Glam

Holiday Glam

Hi Everyone!

Since next week is Christmas, I wanted to share one more holiday outfit with you. For a super dressy look, you can’t go wrong with a red dress. I absolutely love this one. I chose those ruby earrings because I wanted to have something that matched. I also thought loved the way that the gold clutch looked with it.

This will be my last post this week as I am going to take some time to enjoy the holiday season. I hope that you all have a wonderful Christmas with those that you love and I will be back next week with more fun posts! 🙂

Spring Polka dots

Polka dots

Hi Everyone!
I hope that you are all having a great week so far. Mine has been pretty good. Today I’m sharing a casual outfit for spring. I love throwing on a blazer with a t-shirt and jeans instead of a cardigan. It just makes me feel very put together. I also love polka dots and could not resist using that top. Since I’m not a big heels person, I chose a pointy toed flat. That bag has also been added to my wish list. 🙂
Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope that you all have a wonderful day!! ❤

First Outfit of Spring!

Blush, Stripes, & Distressed Denim.

Hi Everyone!

I hope that you are all having a great week so far. Since I am so ready for spring clothes, I thought that I would share a spring outfit today. I never used to be a fan of distressed denim but in the last two years it has really grown on me. I also just bought my first pair at work a month ago. 🙂 I kept things simple with a white t-shirt, but I could not resist using that striped blazer. I paired it with blush ballet flats and a blush bag to make it girly, and simple jewelry.

What do you all think?

Premium Denim Guide Pt. 2 – Styles & Body Types

Premium Denim Guide Pt. 2 - Styles & Body Types

Hi Everyone!

I hope that you are all having a great week so far. Today I wanted to the second part of my denim style guide. Last week I shared some tips on what to look for when buying premium denim, so today I wanted to talk about styles and different body types. One of the most important things that I learned at work is helping people find the right pair of jeans for their body type. We try on jeans all of the time at work and the best part is that all of us have different body types. Which makes it really helpful when working with a customer who is looking for jeans, since every customer is different. 🙂

I picked three different styles for this post and I will give an example of which body type works for that style of jean.

  1. Skinny Jean. This jean is a universal fit, you just need to find the right brand. I only wear skinny jeans because I’m pretty petite and they always fit me the best. This pair from Paige  is my favorite right now and I wear them ALL of the time. They are amazing.
  2. Boyfriend Jean. Most of the boyfriend jeans that we carry at work are more of a “girlfriend” style. They are tighter in the hips and butt and just look a lot more feminine. As for a body type, this works well if you’re tall, but also if you have a figure like Kim K or Jennifer Lopez. 🙂 This boyfriend by Paige is great, and so is this one from KUT from the Kloth .
  3. Flared Jean. I love this style!! Flares look amazing on really tall ladies, but also if you are not super tall they still look great. Even if you have to get them shortened a little bit. This pair by Paige is fabulous.

I hope that this was a little bit helpful. The next time that you are shopping for jeans, try on a bunch of different brands too. They are all different and sometimes you might be surprised what ends up looking the best.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope that you all have a wonderful day!! ❤

Beauty Review: 3 New Products

Beauty Review
Hi Everyone!

I hope that you are all having a great week so far. Today I wanted to do a review on three beauty products that I have started using and really like.

  1. Laura Mercier Oil -Free Broad Spectrum SPF 20 Tinted Moisturizer –  I bought a full size of this tinted moisturizer after trying a sample. I decided to go with the oil-free version to avoid any breakouts. I love this version too maybe a little bit more because I don’t have to worry about my skin breaking out from it.
  2. Beauty Blender –  When I had this sitting out on my vanity, Chris asked me what it was, and after I told him he said that looked like a pink egg. Haha. Anyway… After hearing so much about this product, I decided to get one. I love it. I don’t miss any spots on my face when I apply my makeup with it and it really does create a flawless face. I use it to apply my tinted moisturizer and my foundation, and it has sped up my makeup routine. I also wash it before and after each use.
  3. Clinique All About Eyes– My sister Laura gave this to me when she was visiting and I have been using it every morning. I really like it a lot. It does help get rid of “morning eyes” as I like to call them and it goes on smoothly.

Have any of you tried any of these products?

Current Skin Care Routine

Current Skin Care Routine
Hi Everyone!
I hope that you are all having a great week so far.  Today I just wanted to share my current skin care routine with you. I don’t claim to have the best skin in the world, these are just products that have been working for me.
1. L’Oreal 360 Go Clean Acne Cleanser  I have been using this cleanser for a few weeks now. It comes with a little scrubbing pad which I only use at night. It has been working well but I’m not sure if I will buy it again when I run out. We shall see.
2. Eucerin Face Sensitive Skin Everyday Protection Lotion  I have been using this moisturizer for years. It is very light and doesn’t make my skin breakout. I use this in the morning every day.
3. Timeless Skin Collagen Elastin Facial Moisturizer I love this stuff and will keep using it.  I use this moisturizer at night and this is another moisturizer that I have been using for a few years. This is a great inexpensive anti-aging product that I highly recommend.
4.  Yes to Blueberries Eye Firming Treatment  I use this eye cream at night. It absorbs quickly and I like it.  Like the St. Ives moisturizer, this is another inexpensive anti-aging product that I would recommend.
5. Sensitive Facial Cleansing Towelettes with Cotton Extract  I use these wipes to remove my makeup. I have tried a ton of different makeup remover wipes, but these are my favorite.
6. Peter Thomas Roth Instant FIRMx   I use this in the morning and it totally works. A lot of the reviews online mention that it leaves a residue behind, but if you rub all the way in you won’t have that. I use it around my eye area (even though there is an eye version) and it works with puffiness and making lines look like they have disappeared. Let it dry before you apply your makeup too. I bought a travel size at Ulta and it is cheaper than the full size.
What are your favorite skin care products?

Off the Shoulder Top

Off the Shoulder Top
Hi Everyone!
I hope that you all had a wonderful holiday weekend. Mine was great. I had to work Friday and Saturday, but only until 5:00. I was able to enjoy the beautiful weather here and delicious food.
Today I wanted to share a summer outfit. Off the shoulder tops seem to be everywhere lately, so when I saw this one I had to use it. I love a bright top with white jeans too.  I also added some boho earrings and a straw bag to complete it. I also have that exact wedge. They are comfortable and look good with just about anything.
So what do you all think?
Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope that you all have a great day today!! 🙂

Makeup Review

Makeup Review

Hi Everyone!
I hope that you are all having a great week so far. Today I thought that I would post a makeup review on three products that I have recently started using.
1. Loreal Double Extend Mascara.  Alright, you all know how much I love Benefit Roller Lash, and I still do. However, my sample was way past it’s time, and while I was at Ulta last week I saw this mascara. It is a lot cheaper than the Roller Lash, and I decided to give it a try. It has great staying power thanks to the primer, and it doesn’t smudge. It also lengthens and volumizes well. It also doesn’t dry up at all like other drugstore mascaras.
2. Rimmel Scandal Eyes Waterproof Kohl Eyeliner   Amanda recommended this eyeliner to me after I asked her for some suggestions. This stuff is great. It goes on easily, has good staying power, doesn’t smudge, and it’s only $4.00 dollars. The color that I have is Sparkling Black. I’m definitely going to keep using this eyeliner.
3. Jordana Twist & Shine Moisturizing Lip Balm Stain   I bought this lip stain because I wanted something inexpensive to keep in my purse to use on the days when I don’t use my NARS lipsticks. The staying power is pretty good, it is moisturizing, and it was less than $3 dollars at Walgreens. Gorgeous Peony is the color that I have and it is the one in the picture above.
4. NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Yu  Of course I had to include a NARS product in this post!! I have been using this lip pencil on a weekly basis.  It has amazing staying power, doesn’t dry up my lips, and it is highly pigmented. I love this color so much too. 🙂
Thank you all so much for stopping by and I hope that you all have a wonderful day today!! 🙂

Spring & Summer Makeup Favorites

Spring/Summer 2015 Makeup Favorites
Hi Everyone!
I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend. Mine was great. I had a great time with my best friend celebrating her birthday, worked on Friday and Saturday, and relaxed on Sunday. Unfortunately, I did not take any pictures this weekend. Blogger fail. I also decided to switch things up today and do a beauty post. These are makeup products that I am loving for the spring and summer.
1. NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation in Mont Blanc. I have been using this for a month or so now and I love it. It is also perfect for the summer because it is so light. The staying power is great, and it looks pretty natural. I highly recommend this foundation.
2. NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer – Broad Spectrum SPF 30 in Alaska. I have been using this for a year now. I use it on days where I don’t want to wear foundation. It provides good coverage, and it is oil-free.
3. NARS AUDACIOUS Lipstick in Raquel. You all probably know by now how much I love this lipstick. It has amazing staying power, it is highly pigmented, and it doesn’t dry out my lips. I bought this color a month ago and I love it. The other colors that I have are for fall and winter, and I wanted a neutral that I could use year-round. I use it when I got out or for special occasions.
4. Laura Mercier Second Skin Cheek Colour in Rose Bloom. I started using this blush a few months ago and I have decided that I’m going to keep using it. While I plan on using it year-round, I like it for the spring and summer because it is a bit more sheer. It also has great staying power.
Have you tried any of these products? What are your favorite spring and summer makeup products?
Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope that you all have a great day! 🙂

Casual Skirt Outfit

Bright Sneakers & Skirt
Hi Everyone!
I hope that you are all having a great week so far. Today is my day off and I’m looking forward to enjoying the day.
One of my favorite looks is wearing a fun sneaker with a skirt. I have a pair of Converse that I usually wear with jeans, but I like to switch things up during the warmer months and wear them with a skirt.
For this outfit I could not resist using those bright pink sneakers. 🙂  I used a denim jacket as layering piece, and  I also completed it with some delicate jewelry. This outfit can also be carried into the summer, and you can also wear casual sneakers with a maxi or short cotton dress.
So what do you all think?
Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope that you have a wonderful day!! 🙂
